Registration Dates and Policies — BUSUN 2010
- August 1: Summer Registration Deadline
- September 10: Countries assigned to registered schools
- September 10: Background guides and pre-conference delegate guide posted to the website
- September 24: Fall Registration Deadline; last day to register and pay the Registration Fee
- October 1: Last day to receive a full refund for cancellations or changes in delegation size
- October 15: Deadline for submission of delegates’ names
- October 22: Deadline for submission of delegate position papers
- October 30: Last day to receive a half-refund for cancellations or changes in delegation size
- November 12: BUSUN begins; all remaining fees must be paid
Registrations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Should we reach our conference’s capacity before the Fall Registration Deadline, we will open up a Wait List, and schools on the wait list will be offered spots as they become available. Since we cannot guarantee that we will not reach capacity before the Fall Registration Deadline, we recommend submitting your registration as early as possible.
In most cases, schools will be limited to bringing 25 delegates. Any school that is larger than 2,500 students or that has other special circumstances may e-mail info@busun.net to request an additional 10 spots, for a total of 35.
Conference Fees and Payment
- Registration Fees:
- $55 per school if paid by the Summer Registration Deadline (August 1)
- $65.00 per school if paid by the Fall Registration Deadline (September 24)
- The Registration Fee must be received by the indicated deadlines in order for your registration to be processed. Schools that do not pay the Registration Fee by the Fall Deadline may forfeit their space at BUSUN. Schools on the Wait List are not required to pay the fee until they are offered a spot at the conference.
- Delegate Fees
- $50.00 per delegate, due November 12
- Chaperone Fees
- $10.00 per extra chaperone, due November 12
- Extra chaperones are defined as any chaperones exceeding the ratio of one chaperone per ten students.
- Shuttle Fees
- $10.00 per shuttle seat, due November 12
All fees may be paid on-site at the start of the conference, with the exception of the Registration Fee, which must be received by the dates indicated above. Cash and checks are the only methods of payment we accept; we cannot process credit card payments. Please make all checks out to Brown University Model UN. BUSUN Cancellation Policy
If you cancel before October 1, 2010, you will receive a full refund ($50.00 per delegate and $10.00 per shuttle seat). If you cancel between October 2, 2009, and October 30, 2009, you will receive a half-refund ($25.00 per delegate and $5.00 per shuttle seat). You will not receive any refund for cancellations made after October 30, 2009. The Registration Fee is nonrefundable.
